Why invest in corporate language courses in 2026
12 January 2026
Ticino companies that deal with foreign customers, suppliers or subsidiaries have to handle communication in several languages every day. A misunderstanding in a commercial negotiation, a contract or an email can have heavier consequences than the effort of a targeted training programme.
The difference between a generic language course and a corporate one lies in the content: BLC builds its Business, Medical or HR programmes around the vocabulary and real situations that staff face — not around textbook dialogues. This means that the skills acquired turn into productivity from the first few weeks.
Another factor that is often underestimated is class size. In groups of up to 6 participants, each person speaks far more than in a course of 15-20 people, and the instructor can correct everyone's specific mistakes instead of proceeding at an average pace that suits nobody.
Finally, the flexibility of format — in person, online or blended — makes it possible to fit training into the working diary without stopping operations, a decisive point for SMEs that cannot afford to take staff off production for whole days.
